How much plastic could you save in a year

Over the past few months (thanks David Attenborough!) we’ve seen companies start to wake up to the scale of the plastic problem, with Starbucks charging 5p for customers to use a disposable cup, Iceland pledging to have plastic-free packaging for all their own products by 2023, and Coca-Cola pledging to recycle 100% of their packaging by 2030.

These are great movements forward, but it’s important to think about what changes we can make as individuals and consumers, as well as pushing for businesses and manufacturers to make changes. By cutting down out personal plastic usage, we can save up to 31kg of plastic waste per household per year from entering landfill and littering our oceans.
