Hey John. Thanks for bringing this up , I definitely agree that there isn’t one way to communicate with people, and for some people the ‘despair rhetoric’ may be what works, especially if they’ve personally experienced an extreme weather event or similar.

I think for me the way these issues are handled by the media and used for click bait articles with dramatic headlines which aim to scare, rather than educate, is what is potentially problematic.
